Chef Micah Schorr hails from rural Illinois.  Considering himself a nativized Durhamite, he has been bringing ethnic food with southern ingredients to Triangle diners for nearly 15 years.
A certified wild herb and mushroom forager and amateur chemist in his free time, Micah loves grinding food science and wildness skills back to the kitchen.  Never one to turn down a challenge, he won the Bull City Vegan challenge with his walnut meatballs in 2016.
He looks forward to blending local, seasonal, and fine imported ingredients for the table in the from-scratch kitchen at Trattoria Salve
